Gird Your Loins for a Devil Wears Prada Reunion at the SAG Awards

I'm sorry, but do you have some prior commitments? Well, sit down and grab a cube of cheese because the leading ladies of The Devil Wears Prada are reuniting at the 30th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards. Nearly 18 years after the release of the iconic 2006 film The Devil Wears Prada, actors Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt, and Anne Hathaway will come together on stage — hopefully all donning the Chanel boots.

The two recently opened up in a Variety interview about working together on the film, now turning 18 years old (that’s old enough to drink in England), and delivered some iconic quotes. “Is there some reason that my coffee isn’t here? Has she died or something?” and “Can you please spell ‘Gabbana’?” were just a few.

There’s no doubt the cast had fun on The Devil Wears Prada, so much so that, according to Blunt, Streep gave up Method acting after playing Miranda Priestly because she felt she missed out. “She said it made her so miserable on this one, because we were all having a party on the other side of the set,” Blunt, who played Emily, said in the interview. Streep will have to make up for lost time and have her fun with Emily and Andy (Anne Hathaway) at this year’s SAG awards.

And in other related news, actor Vanessa Williams will reprise the role of Priestly in The Devil Wears Prada musical adaptation (with music by Elton John) in London later this year. “Don’t just sit there,” she says in the announcement. “Buy tickets or something.”

Watch the 30th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards live on Netflix at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2024.

The Devil Wears Prada is not currently streaming on Netflix in the United States.
